Later in Waterfall, the player can hear in the echo-flowers that Sans apparently is talking with his dead brother as if he was still alive. Papyrus accepts Sans´ plan and he is disintegrated by Sans' Gaster Blaster. Papyrus continues search Sans and leaves, later Papyrus is seen being attacked by Sans at the end of Snowdin, he is paralyzed by bones and Sans try to explain why he has to die. He's is seen for first time in the Snowdin forest, in the place where Frisk usually meet him in the original Undertale, unlike the original game, he realizes the human's presence but also like the original game, he doesn't recognize it as such, he asks Frisk/ Chara for his brother but the human instead says that in the previous timelines, he wasn't supposed to say that. Despite not being as friendly as he once was, Papyrus doesn't seem to be anywhere as insane as Sans. He would even try to help Sans in battle to kill Frisk. However, after he was killed by his own brother, Papyrus seemed to be fine with the idea of killing someone and not giving them a chance at all, and he would support his brother over this. Even after Frisk killed him multiple times, he still believed in them. (Only Sans can see him)īefore Papyrus was killed in the 327th Genocide Route, he was a friendly monster who believed that anyone could become a good person if they just tried. Sometimes, he is portrayed having blood oozing out of his eyes. His phrase "You'd be dead from my hand" is played off of the original Sans' phrase "You'd be dead where you stand".Papyrus is body-less with a floating head with hands.Papyrus speaks using lowercase letters, using the Papyrus font.In Undertale the River Person says, "Beware of the man who speaks in hands" and in Underswap, Gaster says, "Beware of the man who speaks with the ocean" (Gaster is swapped with the River Person. It is unknown if Gaster and the Skelebros are close or even talk. He also most likely shares the same relationship with the River Person as UT Sans does Gaster. Undyne is one of Papyrus’s close friends. Temmie and Papyrus always fight with each other, and Papyrus always wins after the argument or the fight. Temmie mentions Papyrus, calling him a ' Smoking beanpole'. Papyrus caused Temmie's " Fair share of Resets". Despite how Papyrus doesn't like making promises, he tries to keep Asgore's promise to keep Chara safe. They make bad knock-knock jokes, and are canonically friends. Papyrus and Asgore's relationship is close since they always share what they like. They share the same relationship as Classic Sans and Papyrus. Just like Undertale Sans, Papyrus cares about Sans and doesn't want anything bad to happen to him. He hates Chara because they killed his brother, Sans. He wears 'a fuzzy nose glasses’ When they first met (replacing the words ‘Don’t you know how to greet a friend?’ with ‘Don’t you know how to greet a fellow human?’, Papyrus always pranked Chara, such as the telescope, hot-cat, and date (like UnderTale Sans) Genocide Route Relationships: Chara (Determinant) Pacifist Route Īs well, Papyrus and Chara are considered as best friend when they first met. Blue Attacks: Papyrus can do attacks that do not deal damage as long as the target remains still.Blue Magic: Papyrus can control and alter the effect of gravity on anything he can bring an entity to himself or throw it.Bone Manipulation: Papyrus has the ability to create and manipulate bones to his will.Gaster Blasters: Devices resembling a skull that Papyrus can use to shoot large beams. He also hates making promises just like Classic Sans. He enjoys fantasy stories and loves to drink honey. He enjoys playing pranks and the fact he entertains at NTT resort hints that he may be a talented jokester. He is also observant Papyrus reads the protagonist's expressions and can often know when they already done certain things. Though Papyrus is usually agreeable, he can be serious in particular events. Conversely, he suggests that is knowledge could be "a bad excuse for being lazy." However despite this, Papyrus is more energetic than Undertale Sans. He wonders if his indolence stems of from his knowledge that any progress he makes will be erased when the timeline resets. His laziness is a combination of nihilism and apathy. Papyrus is laid back and flippant, often fooling around on the job and taking breaks. He wears an orange hoodie, usually with "indirect text posts" written on it and green shorts with a pair of orange sneakers. Papyrus appears as a tall lengthy skeleton with a small toothy grin, skeletal hands and small eye sockets.
